Well, forgive all typos in advance, I'm on deadline here.
Well, It's been a few weeks since I've been to SC Village. I have photos, I have stories, and I have a lot of player feedback about SC Village. Mostly saying "Yeah, you're right."
Oh, if you don't know what in the hell I'm talking about, click here for the post that started it all, and a few others as well.
Anyhow, here's my photographic evidence of cheating and safety violations at SC Village.
Let's use Iraq, a field that borders the parking lot of SC Village.
| Now, I'm trying to be fair here. This image is blown up from the original, to try to show that these people are indeed NOT WEARING GOGGLES. I left some of the foreground in to show how close these people are to the boundary tape (about 5-10 feet). I'll also say that the referee is trying to get these people to step back, they did not. So they had to dedicate a ref to these people to make sure they didn't get shot up. Something that could have happened anyways. My solution is a lot easier. Shut down the game, and let the players make these people step back. I guarantee that 60 angry players will do a lot more than 1 tired referee. |
Let's go to my other accusation, that of cheating. Everyone says there's cheating, how often do you get proof? The original is available for a nominal fee, if you don't believe that this is a legitimate photo.
Un-touched photo here. This player was probably shot at mid-field somewhere, and just played on regardless of the hit. I took this picture moments before he attempted to wipe it off with a hand full of earth. (Slow fingers on a disposable camera) Yes, the game was still in progress. It took a lot of yelling from the sidelines to get this yahoo off the field of play.
And this is a detail of the image. If this isn't cheating, I don't know what would be.
This is the kind of thing I'm talking about here. I've been told that this is SOP at SC Village. And that bothers me, because SC is supposed to be the 'best of the best'. Has it degenerated to THIS?
