"Comet" stayed home the weekend of the '97 Paintball Sam's Big Game 1. It was out of respect, and greiving.

The weekend before Racine's Big Game 1 '97, John Michael Kierlin Jr. struck a deer while riding his motorcycle, and passed away. "Mike" was the older brother of Michelle (Vixen), and I didn't feel right about bringing Comet to the game at all. So "Comet" was left behind. We dedicated the May game to "Mike", and wore black ribbons on our armbands in memory.

What amazes me is how fast people will help and jump in. I asked Fred if he would show support, and he did. He wore a black ribbon. So did Paintball Dave, and a few other people who we asked. It was very, very incredible, to say the least.

Oh, and just FYI, the Kierlin's wants to thank everyone for their support and sypmathy. It went a long ways to helping the healing.
