Well, you read right. This version of Comet is, unofficially, retired.

The seams are blown out, the knees are trashed, there's rips and tears all over Comet. And, well, because of that I'm going to retire the suit.

So, is it gone for good?

Hell no!

Plans are already afoot to create a new Comet costume, this time a little more durable. We will build it better, stonger, faster... but it won't cost us $6 Million dollars to do it. We're thinking of materials, methods, and ways to really make a new suit that I won't need to baby around. Something I can really thrash in! That's been the biggest concern all along, ruining it. It's only flannel, it tore easily.

Well, new plans mean new methods. I'll be doing pictures all along the way and construction notes. I've gotten a few (literally, a few) letters asking about how to make an animal costume. Well, now you'll know. It's easy, it just takes time.

Keep deer watching! The next suit will be much better!
