Cable's penetration nationally has risen over the past several years to a 1997 high of 69%. In our markets where entertainment options are limited, it is not uncommon to see penetration even higher. Winona 's cable penetration is almost 90%! This higher penetration means considerably more viewers on basic cable channels.
